“I used to feel belittled by the term ‘plus size’ but now I’ve learnt to own the title. You don’t have to look a certain way to be successful and you should never compare yourself to others.”

Having struggled with disordered eating and body dysmorphia at the age of 17, Kate Wasley now uses her voice and platform of over 340 thousand followers to promote better size diversity and acceptance within the fashion industry. Her positivity has been picked up by the likes of Sports Illustrated and lead her to huge press tours around the country.

Kate reminds us that “you don’t need to be like anybody else in order to be successful” and how by being the change we want to see in the world, we’re able to effectively generate change.

When we asked Kate what she wanted to be in 2020, her answer was BE BOLD.

Meet the class of 2020 and join us as we ask them, “what do you want to be in 2020?”
